How do I turn off my pop up blockers?

If you expect to receive a completion certificate at the end of your presentation, you must turn off your pop-up blockers before taking the presentation.  You can also set up your pop-up blockers to allow only Brainshark. 

Below are instructions for various browsers.

Internet Explorer:

    1. Go to the tools drop down (Gear Icon) located on the top right side of the browser window.
    2. Select Internet Options from the drop down menu
    3. Select Privacy tab
    4. Select "Pop-Up Blocker Settings"
    5. Under "Address of website to allow" type in and then click "Add"

Follow these steps again to add * You should see the address appear in the allowed box below.

Google Chrome:

    1. Click on the three lines on the far right of the Google Chrome browser
    2. From the drop down select Settings
    3. Scroll down and select "Show advanced settings"
    4. Under Privacy click on "Content Settings"
    5. Scroll down to Pop-Ups and click on the section
    6. Click the Add button next to the Allow
    7. Type [*.] into the text input box



    1. Click on the three lines on the far right of the Firefox browser window
    2. From the dropdown menu select Options > Privacy & Security
    3. Scroll down to the Permissions section
    4. If Block Pop-ups is checked select "Exceptions".
    5. In the address line type and click on the allow button, the address should appear in the section below.

Follow these same steps to add *


Safari does not currently allow you to add an exception and Brainshark only supports Safari for Mac

    • Click on Safari
    • Preferences
    • Click to the Security Tab
    • Deselect "Block pop-ups"

iPad Safari:

    1. Open the "Settings" menu on your Home screen.
    2. Tap the "Safari" tab on the Settings page. The Safari preferences screen loads.
    3. Scroll down the page to the "Security" section.
    4. Slide the "Block Pop-Ups" switch to the "Off" position.
    5. Press the "Home" button to return to your Home screen.
