You may be aware that many companies, including Brainshark, have been affected today by ongoing “distributed denial of service” (DDoS) attacks against Dyn, a DNS provider. Dyn provides network services to many major network providers.
The Brainshark production platform has not been directly impacted in any way. However, like many large SaaS companies, we use Dyn to host our DNS services for brainshark.com. You should know that the impact will not be felt by everyone; the nature of a DDoS attack means the network path to Dyn may be clear for some but congested for others.
Dyn engineers are working on both short and long-term methods to mitigate the interruption. Brainshark will continue to monitor the situation and we expect to remain operational at all times.
