    Great insight, especially as to the essential difference between knowing "did they do it (the training)" and "can they do it (the activity)".

    Excellent point Marjorie.  The coaching platform was created to fill in this gap by creating an opportunity to practice the skill and demonstrate mastery.  It creates a place for the employee to demonstrate she/he can "walk the walk".  Then the SE manager feels good that not only was the content delivered but the employee has mastered the skill and is truly prepared to succeed in the marketplace.
